House rules – Ostend Hub

Ostend Hub is a shared work and meeting space. To ensure a pleasant, safe, and professional experience for everyone, we ask that you respect the following house rules.

By using the coworking spaces, meeting rooms or event spaces you agree to these house rules.

1. Respect for each other

• Behave respectfully towards other users, visitors and employees.
• Disruptive, aggressive or intimidating behavior will not be tolerated.
• Please respect the peace and quiet and concentration of others, especially in coworking spaces.
• Telephoning is done discreetly or in designated areas.

2. Use of spaces

• Only use the spaces for which you have a reservation.
• Leave workstations, meeting rooms and event spaces neat and tidy.
• Furniture and arrangements may only be moved after consultation.
• Smoking is prohibited in the building (including e-cigarettes and vapes).

3. Materials & infrastructure

• Handle all materials, furniture and technical infrastructure with care.
• Use equipment only for its intended purpose.
• Damage, defects or malfunctions must be reported immediately.
• Intentional damage, misuse or negligence may be charged.

4. Kitchen & kitchen appliances

The kitchen is a shared space. We expect everyone to take responsibility.

• Leave the kitchen clean after use.
• Put away used plates, glasses and cutlery immediately.
• Clean appliances (coffee machine, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, etc.) after use.
• Do not leave food scraps or garbage on tables or countertops.
• Please only use your own food, unless otherwise agreed.
• Ostend Hub is not responsible for loss or disappearance of personal food items.

5. Waste & cleanliness

• Sort waste correctly according to the waste bins provided.
• Do not leave any rubbish in work areas or meeting rooms.
• Large amounts of waste (e.g. after events) must be disposed of correctly.

6. Visitors

• Visitors are welcome, provided they have registered in advance if necessary.
• The user remains responsible for the behavior of his/her visitors.
• Visitors must also respect these house rules.

7. Safety

• Always follow the safety instructions in the building.
• Emergency exits must remain clear.
• It is prohibited to bring in dangerous, illegal or flammable substances.
• In case of emergency, everyone must leave the building immediately as instructed.

8. Theft & unauthorized use

• Theft, attempted theft, or taking any material without permission is strictly prohibited.
• Unauthorized use of spaces, materials or infrastructure may result in immediate access control or denial.
• In case of serious violations, Ostend Hub may take further steps.

9. Liability

• Ostend Hub is not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal property.
• Never leave valuables unattended.

10. Sanctions for violation

In case of non-compliance with these house rules, Ostend Hub reserves the right to:

• to deny access temporarily or permanently,
• to cancel the reservation without refund,
• to charge you for any damage or additional costs.

These house rules are there to create a pleasant, professional and respectful place together.
